이재빈은 독실한 천주교 가정에서 성장한 경험을 바탕으로 종교적 이미지와 서사를 유동적이고 모호한 존재로 재구성하며, 그 안에 잠재된 다층적 의미와 가능성을 탐구한다. 페미니즘과 동시대 기술을 경유하여 종교적 도상을 변형·해체하거나 신화에 대한 대안적 서사와 이미지를 상상하는 실천을 통해 성별과 성과 속, 내외부와 같은 이분화된 경계를 흐리는 작업을 한다. 설치, 영상, 조각, 퍼포먼스, AI를 넘나들며 작업한다.
Drawing on her upbringing in a devout Korean Catholic household, Jaebin Lee explores how religious imagery and narratives can be reimagined through feminist and technological lenses to open up multiple readings and bodily possibilities beyond established frameworks. Through an interdisciplinary practice spanning installation, video, sculpture, performance, and AI imaging, she creates speculative reinterpretations that blur sacred/secular, gendered, and spatial binaries.
